A Cuban Film in New York

The Cuban film Forbidden Flights, of the Cuban filmmaker Rigoberto Lopez, was presented recently at the Walter Reade Theater, Lincoln Center in New York.

The premiere was attended by a large audience which gave a standing ovation at the end of the projection as well as comments of praise about this film that will soon be displayed in cinemas of New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles and Miami.

Before the premiere Rigoberto Lopez, Sanaa Alaoui, Moroccan-born French actress and star of Forbidden Flights, and Dr. Leonel Fernandez, president of Global Foundation for Democracy and DevelopmentDominican entity co-producer of the film, exchanged with the public and with dozens of photographers, journalists, and other professionals in the radio and television media giving coverage to unusual event because it is not often the premiere of a Cuban production in US theaters .
