Forbidden Flights will close 1st European Film Festival in Havana
The tape Forbidden Flights by Cuban filmmaker Rigoberto Lopez Pego will be chosen to close this Saturday June 18 1st European Film Festival in Havana, which began in Havana on June 11.
The closing ceremony will take place at the Palacio del Segundo Cabo, located in the main square of the historic center of Havana at five in the afternoon. In the meeting will speak the Lord Herman Portocarrero, ambassador of the European Union in Cuba and also the film's director, Rigoberto Lopez.
Actors are present and some team members performing Forbidden Flights, as well as members of the diplomatic corps.
1st European Film Festival in Havana was organized by the European Union, the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC), the Ministry of Culture (MINCULT) and the Office of the Historian of Havana, capital of Cuba.
Who attended the cultural event enjoyed 15 films and four documentaries authored by filmmakers from 14 member states of the EU. five Cuban documentaries produced on the island thanks to the cooperation program Sparring Partners (cooperation fund for cultural development) is also projected.
Meanwhile, the film filmmaker Rigoberto Lopez Pego, whose film roles were Cuban singer Paulo Fernandez Gallo and French actress Sanaa Alaoui, has had an impressive tour of several festivals and was recently presented at the Walter Reade Theater at the Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York city.
